Spurs are waiting for the clearance from the Premier League to sign Holland and Real Madrid ace Rafael Van Der Vaart.

Why would he want to go there? What do you guys think?

Can't see that happening, he's too good and too popular with the fans. Don't want to see VDV do what he's been doing at Madrid though (Bench warming) or like Krancjar has been doing until very recently.

I think that's the end of Kranjcar tbh, but then it depends how 'Arry will set out his team now with VDV available, maybe he'll go 4-4-1-1 then possible being able to use Modric, VDV and Niko all in the same team.

That wouldn't really work though. For a number of reasons (IMO):
- They don't have a striker who is big enough, and good enough in the air, as well as being strong enough to play on his own up front, whoever played behind (presumably Crouchie) would have to play almost as a second forward, running onto flick-ons. Or they could rely purely on Defoe/Keane/Pav's pace to put balls in behind the defence, which might work against Leeds, but not against most premiership sides who can play offside.
- Thud has to play in the centre then, with Modric, and VDV in front of them, Krancjar isn't shifting Bale or Lennon anytime soon, unless Bale decides he wants to be a full back instead of the next Ryan Giggs. (Even as an Arsenal fan i can admit he is a quality player.) Otherwise there's no balance i would have thought, you can't rely on two CBs + Modric or Krancjar to stop opposition attacks...


However with the arrival of Sandro from Internacional in Brazil, does this mark the end for Wilson Palacios? As well as Jenas.. (although he's been off the scene for some time now.)

Why the fuck do they still have Jenas?! He doesn't contribute in the slightest and now there is even more competition for the midfield slots I think it's safe to say that selling him on would be acceptable.
